Logging Into Your MyUltius Account
MyUltius is the portal for managing your Ultius account both as a client ordering academic writing services and as a freelance writer looking for work. Whether you need to submit an order, check the status of your current project, or apply to become a writer, logging into MyUltius is the first step. This article will provide a comprehensive guide on logging into your MyUltius account, including setting up your login credentials for the first time, signing in on subsequent visits, recovering a forgotten password, and updating your account profile.
Creating Your MyUltius Login
If this is your first time using Ultius, you will need to first create your MyUltius login credentials. Here are the basic steps to set up your account:
Go to www.ultius.com and click the ‘Login’ button in the upper right corner of the homepage. This will take you to the MyUltius login page.
Click the ‘Create an Account’ link located underneath the login fields.
On the new account registration page, enter your first name, last name, and a valid email address that you have regular access to. Your email will be how you reset your password if needed.
Choose a strong password that is at least 8 characters including a special character or number. Make sure to select a password you will remember but that is not easily guessable or related to other passwords you use. MyUltius passwords expire every 90 days for security.
Select your preferred language, agree to the Terms of Service, and click ‘Create Your Account’.
Check your email for a verification link from Ultius. Click the link to activate your new MyUltius account.
You can now login with your chosen email/password credential set.
The registration process only takes a few minutes. Be sure to use a secure password and store it in a secure location like your browser’s password manager, as you will need it each time you access MyUltius going forward. Let’s move on to the standard login process.
Signing Into Your Established Account
Once you’ve completed the initial registration, logging into MyUltius on subsequent visits is simple:
Navigate to www.ultius.com and click the login button.
Enter the email you used to set up your account.
Type your password and click the ‘Login’ button.
You will be redirected to your MyUltius dashboard homepage where you can manage orders, view writing dashboard/opportunities, update profile details, and more based on your user role.
Typically you just need your email and password. There are security measures in place like multi-factor authentication and IP logging that may require additional verification steps depending on your login location or account activity. If prompted, follow any on-screen instructions to fully sign in.
Recovering a Lost or Forgotten Password
No matter how strong you choose your password, there’s always a chance you may forget it over time. Fortunately, Ultius has a straightforward process for resetting a lost password:
Go to the MyUltius login page as before and click the ‘Forgot Password?’ link.
Enter the email address associated with your account and click ‘Submit’.
An email will be sent from Ultius with a temporary password reset link valid for a limited time (usually 1 hour).
Click the link provided and enter a new password for your account. It must meet the stated complexity requirements.
You’ll see a success message that your password has been changed.
Use your new password when logging into MyUltius going forward.
Be sure not to delete the password reset email, as the links expire and a new request would need to be initiated if the link is invalid. Security is prioritized, so Ultius does not disclose your existing password even to yourself for protection. Contact support if you continue to have issues.
Managing Your MyUltius Profile
After logging in, click your name in the upper right to access your profile dashboard. Here you can manage important account details like:
Personal Information – View and edit your name, address, phone number and other biographical data. Keep it up to date.
Payment Methods – If ordering services, link a credit/debit card, PayPal account or other payment provider to securely pay for orders.
Orders – Browse past orders with Ultius, download invoices/receipts, track ongoing projects.
Credentials – Writers can view education, experience and verified qualifications here.
Notifications – Set preferences for emails from Ultius regarding new jobs, order updates, webinar invitations and more.
Subscriptions – View your membership tier if you subscribe for extras like lower rates or dedicated support.
Linked Accounts – Connect your LinkedIn, GitHub or other employment profiles for resume boosting.
Security – Change your password regularly and enable two-factor authentication for signing in.
Be sure to fully complete your profile for the best user experience and so employers can properly evaluate your credentials if applying for writing positions. Let Ultius know if any data needs correcting.
Logging out of MyUltius
When finished with your session, always remember to log out of your account for added security. Even if you’re on a private device, it’s best practice.
To logout, simply click your name in the top right corner again and select ‘Logout’ from the dropdown menu. You will be signed out and returned to the public Ultius homepage, ending your current session.
