SPREAD THE LOVE...

I want to thank my thesis advisor Dr. Smith for his guidance and support throughout this research project. His insight and feedback pushed me to sharpen my thinking and brought my work to a higher level. I could not have completed this research without his patience and willingness to discuss my ideas.

I would also like to thank the other members of my thesis committee: Dr. Jones, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Thompson. Each one provided valuable comments and suggestions in their areas of expertise that have improved this work. Their perspectives challenged me to consider how different audiences may interpret my findings.

I am grateful to the University Research Council for providing funding to support this project through a graduate research grant. Their financial support was instrumental in allowing me to dedicate the time needed for data collection and analysis.

This research would not have been possible without the generous cooperation of the leadership team and staff at Smith Elementary School. In particular, I want to acknowledge Principal Brown, Vice Principal Wilson, teachers Jennifer Lee and Michael Davis, and teaching assistant Lisa Johnson. They welcomed me into their school and classrooms, providing insight into their daily practices. Their openness allowed me to gather the quality qualitative data required for this study.

Many thanks to my research assistants, Amy Chen and David Miller, for their tireless work coding interview transcripts and observations. Their careful attention to detail was extremely helpful. I also appreciate the other graduate students in my research lab who provided feedback on my developing ideas, especially Sarah Thompson and Matthew Hall. Our discussions helped refine my theoretical framework.

I am grateful to my parents, Jane and Michael Smith, for their love and encouragement. They have supported me emotionally and materially throughout my entire academic journey. Most importantly, I want to thank the students, teachers, administrators, and parents who graciously opened their classrooms and shared their experiences to make this research possible. By participating in this study, they have contributed to advancing understanding about how to improve education. It is my hope that this work captures their perspectives with accuracy and respect, and contributes to positive change.
