Essay Assist
SPREAD THE LOVE...

It was a beautiful sunny day in Bikini Bottom and Spongebob Squarepants was looking forward to a fun day at the Krusty Krab grillin’ up delicious Krabby Patties for all his favorite customers. When he woke up that morning he discovered he had a big English essay assignment due the very next day that he had completely forgotten about. His teacher Mr. Krabs had assigned the class a 10 page paper on “Why Krabby Patties are the most delicious food in the ocean” and Spongebob had procrastinated until the last minute.

“Oh no!” cried Spongebob as he read the assignment instructions, “this paper is due tomorrow and I haven’t even started! How am I ever going to write 10 pages on Krabby Patties in just one day?? I’ll have to cancel all my other plans and get to work right away if I have any chance of finishing on time!”

Spongebob popped some caffeine pills to give him extra energy for the long day of writing ahead. He dug out his notebook, sharpened his best pencil, and sat down at his tiny kitchen table to begin. “Ok, let’s see…for the introduction I’ll write about how I first discovered the deliciousness of Krabby Patties as a kid and it has been my favorite food ever since. Then for the body I can talk about the secret recipe and all the special ingredients that make a Krabby Patty so uniquely tasty. And I’ll finish with how Krabby Patties bring people in Bikini Bottom together and are an important part of our undersea culture.”

With his outline mapped out, Spongebob dove in and started furiously scribbling page after page about his love and admiration for the Krabby Patty. The hours ticked by as he described the flavorful patties in vivid detail, sharing fun anecdotes from his years of grilling at the Krusty Krab. His pencil never stopped moving as he filled sheet after sheet with passionate prose about what made Krabby Patties so special.

Around the 6 hour mark, Spongebob was really starting to feel the effects of writing for so long. His fingers were sore, his eyes were tired, and his brain felt like mush. “I’m on page 7 now but I’m fading fast,” he thought to himself as he stifled a yawn. “I need something to reenergize. I know! A quick break to make myself the best Krabby Patty ever as research material will totally motivate me to power through these last few pages!”

Spongebob whipped up the most beautifully crafted and perfectly seasoned Krabby Patty he had ever made in his life. As he took his first big bite, the flavors exploded in his mouth all over again reminding him of why he loved them so much. “Mmmmm!” he exclaimed with his mouth full, reveling in the pure taste bud heaven. Feeling reinvigorated, he rushed back to his writing with a newfound vigor.

For the next few hours Spongebob poured his heart and soul into his paper, losing himself in descriptive passages analyzing everything from the crimson color of the patty to the intoxicating aroma that wafted from the grill. His tongue threatened to fall out from talking so much about salivating symphonies of spice and sauce. Despite his best efforts, by around the 9 hour mark Spongebob was really struggling to keep his eyes open, let alone focus on crafting coherent sentences.

In a last ditch effort to finish strong, Spongebob called up his best friend Patrick to come over for an emergency proofreading session. “Help me Patrick! I’m almost done but so exhausted. Please read over what I have so far and give me your feedback before I pass out.” Patrick skimmed through the nearly complete paper, stuffed to the brim with more adjectives than they’d ever seen, nodding appreciatively at Spongebob’s obvious passion for his subject.

“Wow Spongy this is really good! I think you really captured what makes a Krabby Patty so special. Only thing is I think you could expand a bit more on the flavor profile in the conclusion to really drive your point home. Other than that it looks totally done to me, nice work buddy!” Heartened by Patrick’s validation, Spongebob summoned his last remaining willpower to bang out a killer flavor-packed conclusion paragraph, tying it all up with a shiny red bow.

Finally, at almost the 11 hour mark, Spongebob scrawled the final period on the page and collapsed back in his chair completely spent. “I…did…it…” he managed to whisper weakly before passing out cold, dead to the world after expending every last drop of mental and physical energy on his magnum opus essay. The next morning he woke up still at the table, paper in hand, and just barely had time to sprint it over to Mr. Krabs’ class before the deadline.

Though exhausted beyond belief, Spongebob was proud that through sheer drive and perseverance he had risen to the challenge and completed the massive assignment on time despite the immense undertaking. Later that week when he got the paper back with a glowing review and big shiny “A+” stamped on the front, all those long grueling hours of writing were worth it. The years of grill experience and dedication to his craft had paid off. From that day on, Spongebob never procrastinated on an essay again, and he always kept a flask of espresso shots handy just in case.
