While it can be challenging, with careful thought and planning, you can craft an impressive essay that highlights your strengths. Here are some key tips to keep in mind:
Brainstorm widely and freely. Generate a lengthy list of meaningful events, interests, accomplishments, challenges you’ve faced, and important people in your life. Consider moments that revealed character, shaped who you are today, or illustrated growth. Drill down on topics that truly interest or inspire you.
Select a focused topic. Review your brainstorm for a narrative that convey who you are and what motivates you. Choose something with complexity that can be explored over 650 words. Make sure it aligns with the “Tell a story from your life” prompt.

Polish with quality writing skills. Revise with a critical eye, cutting unneeded details and tightening prose for impact.
