Reflective Essay on a Class Paper: Writing a Literature Review
Introduction
For my Research Methods class, our midterm paper assignment was to write a literature review focusing on a specific topic within our chosen field of study. As an English Education major with a focus in Secondary Education, I elected to research how mindfulness techniques can be integrated into high school English Language Arts classrooms. This paper provided me the opportunity to analyze existing scholarly research on this topic and synthesize what I learned. Through engaging in this process, I gained valuable insights into writing a literature review and conducting academic research more broadly. In this reflective essay, I will discuss what I learned from completing this assignment and how it has impacted me as a developing scholar.
Research Process
